PETITION TO CNN: STOP YOUR DISHONEST CORONAVIRUS COVERAGE

Mr. Zucker,
Your network’s outrageous use of the coronavirus pandemic to attack and smear President Trump is reckless, dangerous, and poses a serious threat to public health. At a time when America should be unified in response to this historic threat, CNN is intentionally misleading the public to tear our nation apart.
I, therefore, demand that CNN do its job to accurately report the FACTS on the coronavirus and tell the TRUTH about the Trump administration’s efforts — not use your news platform for anti-Trump left-wing advocacy.

Here’s just a small sampling of CNN’s extremism in their coronavirus coverage documented by the MRC ...
### CNN purposefully censored the live briefings from the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Instead of letting their audience hear the FACTS directly from the experts, CNN has cut away from about a third of the total briefings to give their biased “analysis.” CNN’s John King said the network censored one briefing because “at times it bordered on dangerous” to hear directly from the President and his staff. The next day, an angry Jim Acosta declared “these briefings altogether are coming across like something out of ‘Baghdad Bob,’” with Trump “sounding very ‘Baghdad Bob’-like.”
### CNN repeatedly promoted the blatant LIE that President Trump described the coronavirus as a “hoax.” What the President actually said was that liberals were politicizing the virus to blame him, as they did with the “Russia collusion” farce. “I’m talking about what they’re doing, that’s the hoax,” said Trump.
### CNN hosts actively prod their guest to criticize President Trump’s handling of the pandemic.
### Numerous CNN “reporters,” hosts, and guests have accused the President of racism for labeling COVID-19 the “China virus” -- even though the outbreak originated in that country!
### CNN has consistently sided with communist China over the Trump administration. In fact, CNN was forced to issue a correction after publishing an article that contained obvious propaganda from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. The article claimed the communist PLA did “a much better job controlling coronavirus than the U.S. Navy.”
### CNN’s Anderson Cooper marveled over the Chinese communist regime’s use of state-sponsored mass surveillance tactics to monitor citizens for COVID-19. According to Cooper, communist China’s invasive practices are “incredible.”
### CNN host Chris Cuomo, in a profane, on-air tirade, called President Trump’s coronavirus messaging “bull sh*t.” Days earlier, as part of another disgusting rant against the president, he hysterically proclaimed “I don’t know that we survive” COVID-19.
### Appearing on Brian Stelter’s Reliable Sources, New Yorker editor David Remnick -- one of CNN’s favorite Trump-bashing contributors -- said the President’s “sins” relating to the coronavirus would be “paid for in human lives.”
### CNN host Don Lemon went on an anti-Trump screed during his program. He criticized Trump’s response and put the blame for coronavirus deaths directly on the President, exclaiming, “How many people have to die?”
The examples listed above are but a small portion of the HUNDREDS our analysts have uncovered.
There’s so much more I could say about CNN’s coronavirus propaganda campaign to attack President Trump. Never did I imagine CNN would be so sick, so twisted, and, frankly, so hateful toward our country — and at such a challenging time! CNN is playing games with the livelihoods of millions of Americans by
- Inciting public panic and anxiety in a time of crisis;
- Defending communist China instead of holding the regime accountable for their lies and failures that unleashed this horrible pandemic on the world; and
- Failing to accurately inform viewers about the Trump administration’s efforts to win the war against COVID-19.
CNN’s job is to report the FACTS on the coronavirus. Their job is to tell the TRUTH about the Trump administration’s efforts. Not use their “news” platform for anti-Trump left-wing advocacy.

Don’t let CNN get away with lying about the deadly coronavirus. Don’t let CNN get away with tearing America apart with their outrageous anti-Trump hatred.
